Maryland Farms in Brentwood, Tennessee is home to 11 indoor and eight outdoor pickleball courts.The facility has more than four decades of sports history as it was originally built in 1978 as the private Maryland Farms Racquet and Country Club. Then, the YMCA of Middle Tennessee purchased the club in 1998. It became a major tennis facility with access to racquetball courts, swimming pools, a gym and a range of fitness classes as well.Sitting on 17 acres, Maryland Farms closed in May 2023, but it reopened a few months later by Williamson County Parks and Recreation offering pickleball, tennis, racquetball and table tennis. As a haven for racket sports in Middle Tennessee, it plays host to a lively community of pickleball and tennis players!
Open play
Maryland Farms has a thriving pickleball open play community with morning, afternoon and evening sessions throughout the week. These sessions are free to attend for members and open to all levels and ages.You need to have a membership to play on the courts, which is $30 per month ($40 per month from January 15, 2024) for access to all of Maryland Farms’ pickleball facilities. Or you can get a guest pass for pickleball, racquetball and table tennis for $10 per day.As a member, you can also reserve courts for $10 per hour ($12 per hour from January 15, 2024). There are pickleball leagues and clinics on offer as well.
Tournaments
Maryland Farms is hosting Bounce’s next pickleball tournament, the Maryland Farms Winter Classic sponsored by Good Get Apparel. The event takes place January 27-28 with open divisions for all ages and skill levels for women’s, men’s and mixed doubles.Registration is open until Wednesday, January 24.
