Bounce and the Tennessee Titans Put on Epic Pickleball Tournament in Nashville

Bounce teamed up with the Tennessee Titans to put on the Nashville Invitational, an amateur mixed-doubles pickleball tournament held at Nolensville High School September 16-17.The tournament had 28 registered teams with players ranging in age from 20 to 70 years old. A mix of family members, spouses and friends paired up and hit the court together. Some teams even traveled from as far as Arkansas and Florida to play in this popular tournament. The Nashville Invitational featured a round robin followed by a single elimination knockout. All matches were rally scoring, and there were some really competitive matches, including a thriller for the final! You can watch the match here.Inclement weather meant all of the matches were played on Sunday, but that couldn’t dampen the fun! We fit in a lot of pickleball in one day with everyone playing at least six games. The two teams who got to the finals competed in 11 games across the day.Attendees were offered food for the full day on Sunday from fruit and power bars to pizza. Bongo Coffee was also there to keep us all energized throughout the day. Everyone who played the tournament also received Bounce swag bags with water bottles and t-shirts.

Competing for prize money and Titans gear

Great prizes were up for grabs at the Nashville Invitational. The winners, Meredith and Michael, scored a helmet signed by Derrick Henry, a jersey signed by Ryan Tannehill, and $500! And the finalists, Kendall and Stephen, took home a portable Franklin pickleball net and $250. The winning team also won Bounce paddles, which provides admission to exclusive tournaments and events in the future, such as tickets to pro pickleball and tennis tournaments and pickleball vacations and parties.

Supporting the local community

“It was great spending the day with Nashville pickleballers,” Brian Bass, head tennis coach at Nolensville High School, says. “We enjoyed the opportunity to host this tournament for the racket sports community in Music City. “And we are really appreciative that Bounce and the Titans have covered our tennis budget for the 2023-2024 school year. This will have a major impact on our program and what we’re able to achieve this year.”On top of that, there were games and raffles for players and spectators throughout the tournament. All proceeds went to a local non-profit with $500 raised for Humanility, an organization that emancipates, educates and empowers victims of poverty and human trafficking. The Nashville Invitational was sponsored by the Tennessee Titans and national leaders in the racket sports industry, The Dink and Fromuth. Check out Bounce’s upcoming pickleball tournaments, so you can compete for substantial prize money and earn your way to invite-only, regional and national tournaments kicking off in 2024 as part of the Bounce Tour.
